| Londan is an intelligent, happy 5 year old boy. He began losing his language skills at about age 2 and no longer liked his grandma to read his favorite book "One Fish, Two Fish" out loud. Following a recommendation by his Day Care teacher, we went to a screening held by Wichita State University and from there we were referred to Rainbows, United for further evaluation. Upon learning that our beautiful boy was developmentally delayed, we, as a family, started looking for resources to help him. We found Heartspring and began Speech, O. T. and P. T. there. What a difference this has made in Londan's life! With Heartspring's help, we were able to get him into the Autism program at school and he has excelled! Londan likes music, video games, water and the ocean (he can name most of the sea creatures now), horseback riding, books and donuts. He is the pride and joy of his mom, Tamika, his dad, Robert, and his grandparents, Willie and Linda. We appreciate any assistance you can give towards Londan's continuing therapies and for all the other children Heartspring helps. |
